On May 21, CNPC signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Telecom in Beijing. CNPC President Jiang Jiemin and China Telecom President Wang Xiaochu were present at the signing ceremony and delivered speeches respectively.

For a long time, CNPC and China Telecom have maintained good relations of cooperation and also have comprehensive cooperation space in the fields of marketing and informatization construction. The two companies will strengthen their cooperation to lever their respective market and resources superiority, in order to jointly cope with post financial crisis challenges and promote the state-owned economy's competitiveness and overall strength.

According to the agreement, China Telecom will make full use of its powerful network infrastructure and internet strength, build specialized team with customer service, project support and technique support to provide better information management services for CNPC's global development strategy.
