Three oil and gas cooperation documents inked between China and Sudan

On November 17, witnessed by member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau and also secretary of Commission of Politics and Law of the CPC Central Committee Zhou Yongkang and Sudan Vice President Ali Osman Mohammed Taha, CNPC and the Ministry of Energy and Mining of Sudan signed three cooperation documents in Khartoum.

CNPC President Jiang Jiemin and Sudanese Minister of Energy & Mining Al-Zubeir Ahmed Al-Hassan signed a MOU on the second phase expansion of Khartoum Refinery and a memoire on prepayment for crude oil trading. Additional, CNPC, Petronas, and MEM of Sudan signed a MOU on further strengthening cooperation in upstream projects in Sudan, to impel partial equity replacement between CNPC's Block 6 and Petronas's Block 5A.
